Anne Kenefick, watercolour painter, from Cork City now living in West Cork, studied at the Crawford College of Art, Cork. Then spent three years in Paris, before moving to London, where she continued to develop her painting skills, studying ceramics in London.
On return to Cork she joined a group workshop in batik while in Blarney.
She successfully ran her own gallery in Schull, “The Seagull”, for three and a half years showing her own work and hosting solo shows for other West Cork artists. Her work has sold far and wide. Anne’s relationship with her place of being in West Cork is evident in the realism of her subject matter.
Her still life work is taken from the natural environment, the landscapes reflect the relationship with place and her nature and floral work shows the love she has for her surroundings.
